How do Anionic &
Nonionic Surfactants differ?
There are two main differences between Anionic & Nonionic Surfactants : foaming & the type of soil removal.
Anionic Surfactants are helpful when you want foam in an application while Nonionic Surfactants are appropriate when you are looking to limit foam.
In cleaning formulations, Anionic Surfactants are beneficial to particulate soil removal & Nonionic Surfactants are beneficial for oily soil removal.

TEGOSTAB®
Silicone Stabilisers for All Requirements We offer a wide variety of products for all major PU applications (eg. rigid, flexible slabstock, moulded and high-density foams). All our surfactants adhere to strict quality standards with the majority based on silicone chemistry that is VOC optimised to ensure very low emission profiles. We also offer a selection of organic based surfactant products, designed for special applications. Additionally, we offer a large variety of SiOC technology based silicones to meet the needs of customers that require SiC production technology for special applications, including very broad processing & special haptic appearance.
DABCO® & POLYCAT®
Specialty Amine Catalysts for Foaming DABCO®, DABCO® NE & DACO® TMR Amine catalysts are highly important to the balance between the various reactions during the polyurethane foam formation. The right amine choice helps to reduce foam defects and can highly influence the physical characteristics and quality of the final foam. We offer traditional amines such as DABCO® 33 LV, a well-known gel catalyst for flexible slabstock applications, or DABCO® T, a reactive, medium active balance amine catalyst for rigid foam applications. Under the DABCO® NE brand, we offer a range of high performance amines optimized for special applications that require very low emission profiles (e.g. automotive). Under the DABCO® TMR brand, we offer a set of highly specialized trimerization and curing catalysts designed as co-catalysts, for conventional catalyst types that can help trigger trimerization, curing, smooth profile, and adhesion in specific formulations. Many of the catalysts are optimized for lower odours and meet special customer needs, including delayed activity or strong-back end curing to improve structural stability. POLYCAT® & POLYCAT® SA Our POLYCAT® brand includes a large variety of special catalysts that provide high performance foam reactions to meet the demands in applications such as spray foam. Many of the products are optimized for low emission profils to exhibit low odour, and depending on the composition and combination, these catalysts can balance blow and gel activities. Conventional catalysts accelerate the polyol-isocyanate reaction irrespective of temperatures. For situations requiring a delayed reaction and prolonged pot-life we propose our POLYCAT® SA range of temperature-activated catalysts. The natural exotherm generated during the polyurethane reaction or an external heat source can activate these catalysts at specific temperatures. The right combination of POLYCAT® SA catalysts allows formulators to tailor the viscosity build-up to the required balance of front-end delay and back-end cure.
KOSMOS®
Metal Catalysts for PU Application Under the KOSMOS® brand, you can find a large variety of standard tin and potassium catalysts, as well as high performance catalysts. All our metal catalysts are carefully developed to fulfil your highest requirements. Most of the catalysts are sensitive towards moisture and require the correct handling during storage and production to maintain high performance.

Paramelt are Global Leaders in Specialty Waxes, being experts at wax formulation for over 125 years.

At JJGC-Paramelt, we offer a comprehensive range of anti-ozone waxes for an array of tyre and rubber applications.

Our anti-ozone waxes have been carefully formulated with a selected blend of highly efficient mineral and synthetic waxes to provide optimal protection in a range of application scenarios.
Our products have been extensively used over several years in the Tyre Industry, in passenger cars, trucks, buses, agricultural vehicles, bicycles and more. In the rubber industry our products find application in belts, hoses, gaskets, mats, shoe soles and more.
Ozone Protection
Atmospheric ozone attacks the double bonds of unprotected rubber rapidly, forming an unstable structure known as molozonide. This is the first destructive step because a chain has been broken. This localized surface attack makes ozone degradation visible as surface cracks perpendicular to the direction of stress.
When articles are exposed to tensile strain greater than a threshold value during exposure, cracks grow continuously at a constant rate. The rate of ozone degradation is proportional to the ozone concentration and accelerated by rise in temperature.
Incorporated during rubber compounding, blended waxes, carefully formulated with paraffin and microcrystalline waxes of the right molecular weight distribution, will migrate to the surface of the rubber article after vulcanization to form a thin protective film which acts as a barrier for optimum ozone protection.
This Protective Film of Anti-Ozone Wax:
IS THIN, NON-CRYSTALLINE AND REASONABLY FLEXIBLE
ASSISTS THE TRANSPORT OF CHEMICAL AGENTS (ANTI-OZONANTS) FROM INSIDE OF THE RUBBER ARTICLES TO THE SURFACE
PREVENTS WATER SOLUBLE RUBBER CHEMICALS (IN PREDOMINANTLY STRESSED ARTICLES) FROM BEING WASHED OUT
For any given wax in a specific rubber compound, there is a marked dependence on migration rate and generally, a peak migration temperature is found. As a result both temperature and rubber formulation are critical factors affecting wax performance. Therefore, to achieve long-term protection across a given temperature window, it is necessary to build a suitable blend of waxes to provide the required migration at different time and temperature intervals.
It is therefore critical to define the expected operating temperature environment as well as the time scale over which protection is required in order to accurately formulate the required wax package.
Paramelt offers a comprehensive range of Okerin anti-ozone waxes, formulated to provide optimal performance at different operating temperature ranges in a number of different rubber systems. These products are used by a vast majority of Global Tyre manufacturers and are known for their consistent quality and performance.
